Nature is in temporal equilibrium and continuously is shifting from one equilibrium to the next. When the shock is virulent and massive affecting humans we call it a pandemia. Small changes and chronic states are part of the equilibrium. Are we going to have shocks that will create a pandemia. For sure, it’s been happening through humankind story. How do we prepare? A strong immune system through a high nutritional density vegetables, good living practices like exercising and good sleeping hours.

It’s history. There’s famines, pestilence, diseases and many types of animals die off. Nothing we do will change it.

I live in Costa Rica and we grow a number of types here for our use, and the neighbor’s use as well. Almost all of them are much more flavorful than Cavendish. When we visit the States and eat bananas there, they are bigger, but have no flavor. It’s a shame. I have a friend who has about 100 types of bananas, and he does this just to keep these other types alive for the future. There are a lot of folk here who do that; they are very easy to grow and require almost no care for the home user/gardener. And the leaves have many uses as well, for tamales! And for wrapping anything….
